THE BEGINNING III

Sorry for the super delayed post guys :( We got so busy we didn't had a chance to finish the third part! Hoo! Praise God it's finally done and ready. Anyway, here's the third and final part of WhenNikFoundMoe. Hope you guys enjoy it!

YOU FIRST BELIEVED

Serendipity can be loosely defined as a series of fortunate accidents Events that we never even expect to occur once, let alone occur repeatedly, but in the end keep finding their way into our lives. Nik and Moe are such victims of serendipity. Though they were apart most of the time, they had known each other intensely for a span of 6 years. Being separated from each other multiple times, they would always fatefully and triumphantly end up together. It took a lot of years but finally the time for Nik and Moe had come. Here is their story.

It was the first year of college and Moe had been forbidden by her then boyfriend, Mr. Beatbox, to hang out with Nikki and his friends. Throughout college they could only pass each other randomly at school. And nothing always came out of it. It would only be 3 years after, during the fourth year of college, that they would be able to reconnect to each other again.

By this time, a lot had change to both Nik and Moe's lives relationship-wise. Moe had been single the past few years. She and Mr.Beatbox broke up a few years back. (Woooooooohooooo!) Nik, on the other hand, was already in a 2-year relationship with another girl that we shall name Ms.CPA.

One lazy afternoon, Nik was in a melancholic mood. His classes had just ended and, apparently, he was feeling a little down from his break up with Ms. CPA that just happened a few days ago. He went straight to Roxas Avenue to get a taxi for home when, lo and behold, he saw Moe waiting for a taxi as well.

This was pretty unusual for Nik. In all his years of college, he always took a taxi to go home and this was the first time he saw Moe waiting there as well. He sorta knew that Moe was a "hatid-sundo" girl. He could see that she was feeling a little uneasy while waiting for a taxi to come along. She was also having an exceptionally hard time hailing a taxi because of the number of other commuters waiting too. And so, Nik went up to her to offer his help (naks naman diba? haha).

"Uy Mon ano ginagawa mo dito?"

"Hi Nik. Nag-aabang ng taxi. pauwi na kasi ako."


"Diba sinusundo ka?"

"Oo, kaso wala si mommy ngayon."

"Ahhh, ganun ba? Sige tulungan na lang kita." :)

Moe was a little shy at first but was more than happy for the help. (Yiheeee!) Nik went a tad in front of her and the other commuters for a good position. In all his years waiting for taxis by that road, he pretty much already had a game plan on how to get the taxis before other people could. (Pa-impress dapat si Nikki eh. haha)

"Musta ka na Mon?"

"Mmmm ok lang naman. Ikaw? Musta na kayo ni Ms.CPA?"

Suddenly, Nik went emo mode. (pathetic we know. hahaha)

"Ahhh Uhmmm wala na kami. Medyo matagal na narin. Mga a week ago pa nung retreat pa natin. Wala pa nga nakakaalam eh. Wala pa kasi akong sinabihan. Come to think of it, ikaw pa lang nakaalam since nagtanong ka sakin."

Moe gets a little startled. (with a hint of care. ^_^)

"Ahh sorry Nik. Di ko alam. Ok ka lang? Ano bang nangyari?"

Nik then proceeds to share his breakup story. A very looooooooong one while waiting for the taxi. During the whole time, Moe could see that Nik was pretty badly affected by it. And she wanted to cheer him up but didn't know how to start. Then a taxi suddenly came around the corner and Nik quickly hailed it down before she could say a word.

Like a true "tunay na lalake", Nik feigned that everything was okay and there was nothing to worry about. Then, he quickly told Moe that she should probably go home now. (alpha male syndrome. HAHA)

"O ayan may taxi na Mon. Uwi ka na ha. Medyo late na."

"Onga eh. Sige Nik. Thank you talaga ha."

"Sure no prob! Ingat ka ha. Bye bye!"

"Kaw din. Ingat! Bye bye!"

They both shared a little smile before Moe finally went into the taxi. Nik threw a final wave. And just like that she was gone.

Nik found himself suddenly alone. His little chit chat with Moe was just the right thing he needed at the time. He allowed himself a brief smile again then briskly hailed his own taxi too.

A minute after Moe got inside her taxi, Nik got his own taxi as well. And just as it was about to veer off towards the direction of home, Nik received a text message from an unknown number.

"Hi Nik! Thank you ha. Don't worry maging okay ka rin in time. Makakahanap ka rin ng iba I'm sure. Ikaw pa! Haha"


"Sino ito? Haha."

"Halaaaa dinelete mo number ko. Si Mona to. Haha."

"Haha. Hindi ah. Nasira kasi phone ko kaya nawala mga dati kong contacts. :) Save ko na ulit number mo."

"Haha dapat lang! Sige ingat Nik. Thank you ulit."

"Haha. No problem. Kaw din ingat ka. Thank you din. ;)"

And just like that, Nik forgot he was sad. For the third time, he allowed himself to smile again.

For the next two days, they would accidentally see each other at Roxas Avenue again and again. And just like the day before, Nik would help Moe in getting her own taxi for the next few days while her mom was not available. Indeed, the text she sent him was right. Nik would still find another woman for himself. They just didn't know at the time that it was them that were meant to be together all along. Those casual encounters waiting for the taxis led to comfortable conversations. Those conversations led to a lasting friendship. It was inevitable.

A year and 8 months from that one lazy melancholic afternoon, Nik and Moe are now together. After what feels like a lifetime, serendipity has prevailed. They vowed that they would not allow anything to tear them apart anymore. They are now enjoying their lives together as one happy couple. They support each other with their dreams and share the blessings and love they have for each other with their friends and families. They put God first in their relationship and thank Him for all His blessings including bringing the both of them together.

PS. As for how Nik was able to enchant Moe's heart to say yes to him, well that's a whole other story. :)

THE BEGINNING II

Nik and Moe here and this is the second part of WhenNikfoundMoe - a short story of our journey and how we found each other. We decided to share this story as a way of celebrating our just recent "togetherness". If you haven't read the previous post, please do so. That's all guys hope you will enjoy it. :)

LOVE IS WAITING

It has been two years since Nik and Moe heard of each other. And finally, the time for college came. It was the year 2007, and unbeknownst to each other, they took the same course which was Entrepreneurship. They had different reasons why they chose their course. Nik always wanted to have his own restaurant ever since his highschool days so it was a choice between HRM or Entrepreneurship. Since AdDU did not offer HRM, it was pretty easy decision for him. On the other hand, Moe was pretty much undecided on her course. However, by then she already had a boyfriend, that we shall call Mr.Beatbox, who suggested that she should take Entrepreneurship and she did so. Ironically, this would play a part for Nik and Moe to be reunited. (So thank you for the help Mr.Beatbox!)

Despite their same course, Nik and Moe didn't end up becoming classmates. Fortunately, Nik had a close friend from high school that became Moe's classmate. Through this close friend, Nik and Moe were able to catch up with each other. They soon found out what had been going on with each others life for the past 2 years.

Like Moe, Nik already had another person in his life. This person who we shall name Dimples was studying in San Pedro College and so Nik had to visit her at her school from time to time. Nik wanted Dimples and him to study in the same school so they could be close to each other. However, this distance was nothing compared to the distance shared between Moe and her then boyfriend Mr.Beatbox who was studying in Manila.

In the past two years, Nik had also formed a band with his old high school mates named Bawal Umihi Dito. He shared that they played in bars around the city on a regular basis and compose their own songs as well. On the other hand, Moe joined the performing group "Songspell" where she began to develop her talents in both singing and dancing and had shows not only locally but also internationally.They soon realize that, just like two years ago, they kept their common interest in music alive.

Nik and Moe soon found out that they were becoming comfortable with each other again, Though still as friends, they began to hang out everyday after class just like their high school days. They were very happy for each others relationships.

Suddenly, Moe just disappeared without a second notice. Nik was confused. She just stopped showing up and Nik couldn't think of a good reason why. Years later, he would find out that Moe was forbidden by her boyfriend, Mr. Beatbox, to hang out with Nik and their friends. And just like that, the two were torn apart yet again. Only to be brought together by fate years later.

Nik + Moe

THE BEGINNING I

Hey there! 

Nik and Moe here and welcome to our very first attempt of making a decent couple blog. YAY! We've been exceptionally close friends for way too long and just started officially going out like for 3 weeks already. and so, we thought what better way to celebrate our "togetherness" than to celebrate with the world. right?? (Yeah so CHEE-EESY! but this is our blog so walang KOKONTRA haha!) 

As our first post, we will share with you our story WhenNikfoundMoe - we will divide it in 3 parts because it's quite LONG and by reading it, you'll understand WHY. :)

So to do that, let's start at the beginning or the first part of the story.

SECRET HEART

It was the start of the new school year for 2004 - 2005 at the Ateneo de Davao High School and both Nik and Moe were starting their second year. Nik was a very thin, short and quiet boy then who wore his recycled grade school uniforms to school. Even though they were probably too small for him to wear (despite his already small stature  haha).

While Moe was a tall, charming, noisy and tomboyish girl back then.

She liked to bully the guys around because she knew they wouldn't lay a hand on her. and of course, she was definitely right about that!

Despite these largely different personalities, they became very good friends. They would talk during class hours. They would talk during recess. And they would talk during lunch time and sometimes listen to Rivermaya, Eraserheads and Parokya ni Edgar songs in Nik's CD player (Ipods and MP3 players weren't existing yet haha). When they got home, they would still talk on the telephone for hours on end. "Telebabad" as the grown-ups called it and yes, unlimited call-and-text and the SUN network were pretty much non-existent at the time. 

Memories were forged and the friendship they had was cherished by both. Even until now, Moe still brags and laughs about the friendly gift Nik gave her during Valentine's day which was a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates with a price sticker Nik forgot to remove! *tsk!. While Nik still vividly remembers the time he accidentally touched Moe's butt and she screamed out loud to the emabarrassment of Nik to the WHOLE class. :)))))

Those were the days. Still young and naive of the workings of the heart at the time, they treated each other only as MUSIC buddies. Little did they know, it was the start of a brewing romance that would span for years.

Sadly, all good things come to an end. It was not the right time yet. This romance had to wait for a few more years when Nik and Moe were all grown up. The school year ended and the friends were separated from each other. They never saw each other again.

That is, until.....
